What’s up in the March sky? – Second Showing

March is a great time for looking up into the night sky as the evenings are still dark early, and the cool air helps improve visibility of objects in the sky. But what are we looking at? Do any astronomical events occur during March? Join us in the Planetarium as we explore what’s up in the night sky at this time of year from our perspective in Hamilton. We’ll learn about objects we can see – like constellations, the moon, and some planets – and events like a penumbral lunar eclipse and the March equinox! Then we’ll look deeper into space and learn about objects that are above us but can only be seen using a telescope – like other galaxies millions of light years away!
All ticket sales are final. Please use our Directions page for information on parking and getting to the planetarium.
A note that this show is not specifically designed for kids – if you are interested in a show designed for a younger audience, please consider our Introductory Astronomy for Kids options (typically on the first Wednesday or the third Saturday of each month).
