What’s up in the December sky? – Second Showing

Date/Time
Date(s) - 29/11/2023
8:15 pm - 9:15 pm
December evenings are a great time for looking up into the night sky as it gets dark early and the cool air helps improve visibility of objects in the sky. But what are we looking at? Do any astronomical events occur during December? Join us in the Planetarium as we explore what’s up in the night sky at this time of year from our perspective in Hamilton. We’ll learn about objects we can see – like constellations, the moon, and some planets – and events like meteor showers and the winter solstice! Then we’ll look deeper into space and learn about objects that are above us but can only be seen using a telescope – like other galaxies millions of light years away!
All ticket sales are final.
A note that this show is not specifically designed for kids – if you are interested in a show designed for a younger audience, please consider our Introductory Astronomy for Kids options (typically on the first Wednesday or the third Saturday of each month).
